"We design landscapes the way an architect designs a house — every line on the page has a reason. If we can't explain why it's there, it doesn't make it into the build." — Marco D., Lead Designer, Mapleridge

Case Study

The Patel Estate — Vaughan, 2025

Patel estate landscape build

From bare grading to backyard destination — in 9 weeks.

A 0.6-acre lot in Vaughan that came out of a custom new-build with nothing but rough grading. The owners wanted everything — pool, pergola, outdoor kitchen, full softscape — but didn't want six different contractors. We designed it as one cohesive plan, then built every trade in-house.

Why It Matters

Why design-build beats hiring two companies

🎯

Single Source of Truth

One team owns the outcome. No designer-vs-contractor finger-pointing when something goes sideways.

💰

Fixed Pricing

Design constraints are known upfront. No "we found a rock" change orders mid-build.

Faster Timeline

Design and procurement happen in parallel. Projects launch weeks sooner than the two-vendor route.

🔧

Buildable Designs

Our designers build for a living. Plans are realistic, not Pinterest fantasy renderings.

FAQ

Landscape design & build — answered

For most projects, the design fee is rolled into the build contract — meaning if you go ahead with us, the design is effectively free. For larger estate projects, we charge a refundable design retainer ($2,500–$7,500) that gets fully credited against the build cost.

Typical timeline: site visit within 1 week, 3D plan and quote within 7–10 days, and construction starts 4–8 weeks after contract signing (depending on permits and season). Spring/summer slots fill up fastest — book in winter for prime season.

Yes — up to two rounds of revisions are included before contract. After contract, change orders are priced transparently with the same fixed-price approach.

Yes, often. We collaborate with custom home builders, architects, and interior designers regularly — especially on new builds where the landscape needs to integrate with the home's architecture.

All workmanship — hardscape settling, paver movement, lighting installation, irrigation hookups, structural elements. Plants and sod carry a 1-season warranty. Manufacturer warranties on pavers, equipment, and structures go 10–25+ years and we transfer them to you.
